NBA All-Stars on the Move in 2018

It seems like everyday there are rumors of a superstar player either unhappy or a team is looking to test it’s value in the market. Especially with the Warriors as an almost lock to win it all, it would be best for teams not in contention to get rid of it’s superstars now rather than later. Here are 5 players I think could get traded this upcoming season and potential landing spots for them all:

  1. Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans

I think I hear this guy’s name more than anyone else’s in the NBA in regards to trade talks and it would probably be smart on the Pelicans part. With DeMarcus Cousins leaving for the Warriors, the Pelicans have absolutely no shot in the Western Conference. He’s a perenial All-Star, 1st Team All-NBA potential and tremendous on the defensive side of the ball and will certainly garner trade talks. I think moves are already being made on this trade and this is a trade that could definitely happen before the All-Star Break.

2. Damian Lillard, Portland Trailblazers

Another guy who has been receiving a lot of attention this offseason, both in trade talks and personal life. Lillard is one of the best scoring Point Guards in the NBA and was a legitimate MVP candidate this past season. Although Lillard may be happy in Portland, Portland realistically has no shot in the Western Conference especially after losing the DeMarcus Cousins sweepstakes. In my opinion, it would be beneficial for the Blazers to look elsewhere. This trade is going to take time to develop and the only way I see it happening is at the deadline and the Blazers will probably have to be out of the hunt. But that’s not too out of the picture if you take a look at Vegas’ over/under for wins for this team.

Potential Landing Spots: Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat

3. Jimmy Butler, Minnesota Timberwolves

I’m not predicting Jimmy Butler is going to be traded, I am telling you he is going to be traded. It’s just a matter of where and when. He is not happy in Minnesota whether it has to do with his teammates or management, he is just not happy. In my opinion, he is the most overrated player in all of basketball and if it were up to me I wouldn’t give him the “Superstar” Label but so many people do, I just had to add him to the list. Fuck you Jimmy Butler.

Potential Landing Spots: New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers

4. Marc Gasol, Memphis Grizzlies

Marc Gasol is very unhappy in Memphis, often seeing yelling at mediocre teammates and frustrated with losing. For a guy that only has so many good years left, it would be nice to see him on a contending team. If a team is looking for a dominant center this would be the perfect pick-up. I’ve loved watching Gasol for years and his fundamentals on the basketball court and as I said definitely still has a few years of good basketball left. The Grizzlies are slumping and should seek to receive something in return for him while they still can. But it’ll be interesting to see if they are willing to part ways with the face of their franchise.

5. KYRIE Irving, Boston Celtics

I am tired of hearing in the news that Kyrie Irving is considering leaving Boston next year and I deem if these rumors are true, ship his ass. If this Celtics team isn’t appealing to Kyrie enough than I don’t know what will please this asshole and quite frankly I am tired of his antics. If Smart and Rozier continue to play at high level, we do not need Kyrie to win the East and I would be open to trading him rather than letting him go for nothing. Kyrie, if you are reading this, WAKE THE FUCK UP. This is your chance to write your name in NBA History with the great Point Guards to play the game. Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, John Stockton, Isaiah Thomas. This could be you man. Picture this, 8 years from now, you look down on your ring-filled hand looking to finish off a 3-peat. I’m just saying man. GOD DAMN.
